We know that even the best healthcare or dental organisations can experience a negligence claim. If it does happen, as a client of Healthcare Protection, your organisation can call on us for expertise, reassurance and support.

Notify us of an adverse incident

Healthcare Protection's medical malpractice insurance policy is a claims made policy. With claims made insurance, your organisation must notify Healthcare Protection of any adverse incidents as soon as it becomes aware of them.

Any delay in notifying adverse incidents could mean that Healthcare Protection is unable to assist and defend your organisation in relation to any claim arising out of that adverse incident.

What is an adverse incident?

An adverse incident is an event or circumstance that might give rise to a claim, complaint or allegation against you.

Report a claim

Once you have submitted your incident notification and we have confirmed that this has been noted on your organisation's policy, you won't need to take any further action unless you receive a formal claim.

If your organisation receives a claim, please remember not to admit any liability at any point. To notify Healthcare Protection of a claim, complete the claim form below in as much detail as possible. We will then be in contact to discuss the next steps.

Our expert claims team is committed to delivering the highest levels of professionalism, responsiveness and good faith when handling your claim. Once your claim has been submitted, our underwriters will confirm what cover is available under the policy and establish the best way to respond.

What is a claim?

A claim is a written demand for money or the service of proceedings, a written indication of intention to commence proceedings of any kind including arbitration proceedings; or a written communication, (whether or not containing a demand for compensation or damages), asserting a legal liability on your part or on the part of your employee and in relation to your business.

Existing claim enquiry
